We are so excited to have you join our mission. This page is designed to walk you through your first steps as a GYYC volunteer, ensuring you feel empowered and prepared to make a difference in our sisterhood.
STEP 1
LEARN ABOUT GYYC
Girl, Yes You Can! creates opportunities for connection, empowerment, leadership, academic excellence, financial empowerment, wellness and sisterhood.
GYYC welcomes all women and individuals who identify as female.
Volunteers help us create environments where participants feel welcomed, respected, supported and valued.
STEP 2
UNDERSTAND THE VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Volunteers may support GYYC through:
Programs, Events, Community outreach, Student engagement, Conference operations, Hospitality, Registration, Wayfinding, Workshops, Speaker support, Accessibility support, Production, Setup and breakdown, Administrative support, Professional expertise, Other approved assignments.
Volunteer interest does not automatically mean assignment to a particular role.
Roles are confirmed based on program needs, skills, availability and appropriate placement.

STEP 4
COMPLETE TRAINING
All volunteers are required to complete our comprehensive onboarding training to ensure we provide the best community experience.
STEP 5
RECEIVE YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Once assignments are confirmed, volunteers will receive information about their role, reporting location, schedule, supervisor/team lead and any role-specific instructions.
Do not report an interested volunteer as assigned until the assignment has actually been confirmed.
